Back to Civic Engagement Experiences

These experiences are intended to provide insight into the policies, conditions, and experiences that shape the lives of those who make up our communities, particularly in relation to the question of citizenship -- how access to citizenship is defined, who is included and excluded in the citizenry, how laws and policies affect citizens and non-citizens differently, and how such laws and policies affect the relationship between citizens, aspiring citizens, and non-citizens. These experiences are meant to deepen and enrich your understanding of the social and legal aspects of citizenship, and of the processes and policies shaping the experience of aspiring and non-citizens. You should be able to outline the key concepts and issues discussed at the event, and provide a brief summary of your thoughts and response to those issues.
