Participate in 3 Cross-cultural Events/Activities

Your attendance at and participation in these events are meant to broaden and enrich your awareness and understanding of cultures and communities different from your own. In addition to documenting the dates and details of the events, please keep notes from each event that you may draw upon when you write your cumulative reflection. This reflection should provide some concrete details of the events you attended, and also express how your perspective or understanding has been affected by each event, and by the cumulative experience of attending such events. This requirement is intended to expand your sense of the connections and relationships between different cultures, as well as their differences and particularities, and your reflection should document that enriched understanding.

Cross-Cultural Experience 1

You should choose an event that connects you in some way to artistic and cultural practices that are unfamiliar to you, or not part of your normal cultural experience. After attending 3 such events, you'll write a reflection that provides some concrete details of the events you attended, and also expresses how your perspective or understanding has been affected by each event, and by the cumulative experience of attending such events. This requirement is intended to expand your sense of the connections and relationships between different cultures, as well as their differences and particularities, and your reflection should document that enriched understanding.
