Citizen Scholars

This requirement provides an opportunity to document your work at an early phase of the program. Choose the project that best represents your accomplishments in AL101.

This requirement should be undertaken in spring of your 3rd year, and may be subject to revision and development in your following final semesters at MSU. This 5-page reflection/projection is an opportunity to formulate how you see your future as a Citizen Leader: the kinds of issues you hope to tackle, and the ways in which you see your CS experiences and interactions as the basis for that future intervention.

It offers an opportunity to imagine where you can make an intervention for positive social change, and how your skills and capabilities prepare you for that challenge. It also provides a chance to consider what additional skills, capabilities, and knowledge you will need, and to make plans for acquiring them in your final year of of your undergraduate degree.
