Mentored Teaching

Description

Recipient has taught at the collegiate level and has shown evidence of lesson planning and evaluation, and has been participated in mentoring around their teaching. 

Criteria

Recipient has taught a course with mentorship by a faculty member and provided the following artifacts:

  • Documented lesson plan, materials, and goals/objectives.

  • Letter from mentor discussing recipients teaching performance.

  • Reflection on the semester produced by recipient.

Reflection on Semester of Teaching

To achieve this part of the certification you must teach a course with mentorship by a faculty member and provide the following artifacts in your portfolio.

  • Documented lesson plan, materials, and goals/objectives.

  • Reflection on the semester

Letter from mentor discussing recipients’ teaching performance.

This achievement is a record of teaching evaluation. This can be a letter that covers your teaching more broadly, or it can be an evaluation letter based on a certain course during a specific semester (e.g. review of your THR101 teaching during Fall 2020). 

List of Teaching Experience

This should be a list of the teaching experiences you had as a graduate student. This should be not just formal credit bearing teaching opportunities, but also opportunities you had for guest lectures, informal teaching, etc.
