Annual Plan

Back to Citizen Scholar Yearly Achievements

You should draft your yearly plan for the coming academic year in late spring/summer of the previous academic year. The due date will be at the end of the first week of classes. Following your meeting with the CS Adviser in fall of that academic year, please provide a link to the final version of the current year's plan with any corrections or changes you have made, based on your discussion.

Your yearly plan offers an opportunity for you to build on your year-end reflection of the previous year, and on your previous year's plan. In late spring and summer of each year, and taking account of any experience you've had over the summer, you should cast ahead to lay out your goals for the upcoming year, in terms of which requirements you plan to complete, what courses you will be taking, how you see the relationship between courses and CS program requirements, and any experiences that you can imagine would be of use to you (e.g. 'I'm interested in immigration issues and would like to help plan a panel discussion on immigration). This is where you can project how you want to grow and develop in the coming year, and it makes you an active agent in your progress toward completion of your academic degree and your Citizen Scholars credential.
